In this review we show you the new KTM E-Bike , the KTM Macina Kapoho Elite , an electric Mountain bike that comes equipped with a Bosch motor and the new 750Wh battery.
The Kapoho range, for KTM, as many of you already know, is the quintessential range of the Austrian brand, it has a fairly aggressive and hardcore philosophy , but no more than the Prowler, which is the most aggressive KTM range.
As usual, KTM mounts a geometry pulling towards enduro with what we are already used to. Indeed, this KTM Macina Kapoho Elite has a 29" wheel in front and a 27.5" Plus rear. The frame of this ebike is made of carbon, with the aluminum swingarm with an aggressive geometry and has a very powerful aesthetic, this e-bike has a very special chameleon color , since it changes color depending on the light.
The electronic part of this electric mountain bike is equipped with a Bosch motor and battery , as it could not be otherwise, the best motor on the market. It has the most powerful motor, the Bosch Performance Line CX, with 85Nm of power and is also equipped with the new 750Wh battery, which will give you great autonomy on your routes. The way to remove the battery has been improved by KTM, it is much easier, starting with the covers that protect dirt from entering, until removing the battery to charge it externally, you can see it in the Youtube video.
Another important part to highlight within the electrical part is the display. When we have explained other electric MTBs with this new battery, such as the 75th anniversary Lapierre, we have commented that it is not necessary to carry the Kiox screen to be able to ride, that it only works with the remote control. Well, this KTM comes standard without the screen, only with the control, which you can connect to your smartphone and you will be able to have the info and details of the route. In addition, if you want the Kiox screen, you can put it without problems.
With this electric MTB you will be able to go down the trails smoothly and climb the slopes easily thanks to its suspensions, which also has a peculiarity. It is unusual for an electric mountain bike to have a RockShox fork and a FOX shock, normally it is the other way around, but in this case it is. It is equipped with a RockShox 160mm travel fork and a FOX Float X shock, which will give you perfect grip on your descents.
The rest of the components, well, what are we going to say, are high-end . It is not the best on the market because it is not the top model. But it equips some components that are very good value for money. It has Shimano 4-piston brakes, also a Shimano development, specifically a 12-speed Deore XT and an internally cabled dropper post, essential on an electric mountain bike.
