In this review we show you the differences between these two mountain ebikes that are the Haibike AllMtn 3 and the Haibke AllTrail 8 . These two models are easily comparable because they have the same price, that is, in terms of benefits, they are at the same level.
The big difference between these two electric MTBs is the geometry they have, one is more aggressive to attack more downhill than the other. The AllMtn range is the second most aggressive range of the German brand, ahead of it is the Nduro range. Instead, the Alltrail range has a more standard, rolling geometry.
As you can see in the Youtube video and in the photos, the Haibike AllMtn 3 has a higher position in the front. This is for two reasons and this is the big difference compared to the Haibike AllTrail 8. The first reason is because the AllMtn range is equipped with a 29" wheel in front and 27.5" in the rear and also the suspension travel is also longer than the of the Alltrail, this will make it easier for you to go down the trails .
The Alltrail range, on the other hand, has a more conservative and rolling geometry , as we said before, that's because it comes with the same wheels both in front and in the rear, the good thing is that you can choose between a 29" or 27.5" Plus wheel. Another point is the suspensions, which are also shorter, but we will tell you about this later.
These two ranges, both the AllMtn and the AllTrail can be equipped with a Bosch engine or a Yamaha engine , in these two particular cases that we show you in this review, they are equipped with a Bosch engine, the best, the Bosch Performance Line CX with 85 Nm of power. Something important that Haibike does with Bosch motors on its electric mountain bikes is that you can mount a second battery , it is prepared for it.

Haibike has a reinforcement in all its electric MTBs with a Bosch motor, which is the area just above the motor where we can put a second 500Wh battery there, which we would add to the one that is incorporated in the 625Wh frame and we would have 1,125Wh, that is. , an autonomy of more than 200 km without problem. As most of you already know, the Bosch power unit has 4 levels of assistance, which can be controlled with the Bosch Purion display on these two electric mountain bikes.
Now we are going to explain the difference between the suspensions of these two models, because it is another of the 2 big differences between them. Both have a similar level of fork and shock, in fact both electric mountain bikes have a RockShox Silver 35 fork and a RockShoc Deluxe Select shock, but the difference is that the Haibike AllMtn 3 group has 160mm of travel, while the Haibike AllTrail 8 suspensions are 140mm.
As for the rest of the components, they are exactly the same between one ebike and another, the brakes, development, pedals, the seat and the post, etc. Note that the brakes are Shimano 4-piston , both front and rear, it has a 12-speed Sram gearbox, a telescopic post that Haibike manufactures at its headquarters in Germany. In summary, the components are high-end, when we talk about an electric bicycle with these features, it does not have the best components on the market, but it is an ebike with which you will not lack anything.
Advantages and disadvantages of the Haibike AllMtn and AllTrail range:

As we have said, the AllMtn range is more aggressive than the AllTrail. So the Haibike AllMtn 3 is for all those who like strong adventures and being able to go down hard on trails and trial roads. The 29" and 27.5" wheels will allow you to have a more manageable mountain ebike on the descents and also to have more grip on the climbs.
On the other hand, the AllTrail range, which Haibike has done very well this year is that it makes this model in both wheel sizes, in 29" and 27.5", it will be a more standard electric MTB with geometry. By this we mean that it is an ebike designed to cover any type of terrain within the mountain, but if you have to throw yourself on complicated trails, you will not feel as comfortable as with the AllMtn, since the geometry and travel of the suspension are designed for somewhat quieter routes.
