The wider, knobby tire doesn't affect as much as a conventional gravel bike since it has the motor, which on electric gravel bikes is usually a central motor, and it doesn't cost as much to roll on the road. In addition, with a gravel ebike you can make routes and trips in the back packing style with panniers and bags traveling on dirt and paved roads.
